Head of Sales

As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for acquiring customers, ensuring customer success, and growing revenues. This requires that you understand our technology, our target customers, develop effective messaging, efficiently negotiate deals, enjoy working with our customers, and understand how to expand the use of our platform across our customer base. The right candidate for this position will likely come from an B2B SaaS sales and marketing background with a proven track record of meeting sales goals.

Practical Day-to-Day Expectations

  • Team Orientation: Supporting other members of the team to achieve the company‚Äôs highest priorities. Contributing to the development of a highly motivated, high performing team.
  • Disciplined Execution: Putting systems and processes in place to maximize the efficiency of operations and effectiveness of communications. A commitment to setting clear objectives and deliverables and meeting them.
  • Customer Focus: Being the voice of the customer/user in company deliberations on product/market strategies and programs.
  • Positive Energy: Generating enthusiasm inside the company and in the market for the mission of the company and the value of the platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sales: Taking responsibility for hitting our revenue growth goals through the sales of subscriptions to our platform.
  • Executing Go-to-Market Strategy: You will lead our sales and marketing organization and will build a scalable marketing and sales engine along with the team to power it.
  • Customer Success: Putting systems in place to ensure rapid customer onboarding and ongoing customer satisfaction. Targeting 100% customer retention, plus aggressive customer expansion goals.
  • Product: Working with the CEO to develop product improvements based on feedback from customers and the market.
  • Executive Leadership: Working with the CEO on general corporate matters such as strategy, investor relations, board meetings, financial projections, goal setting, team building, recruiting, and the like.
  • Thought Leadership: Speaking at industry events. Support the development of customer success stories and articles (as part of go-to-market).
  • Rolling Up Your Sleeves: We are still a startup company and a small team and so we all need to pitch in on operational tasks as they arise.
